Worst Fan Bases In Sports

All quality sports fans know, that there is nothing worse than a bad sports fan. Even worse than a bad sports fan is a bad fan base. The following five fan bases are the worst there is in ALL of professional sports, for the reasons outlined below.

1. The Philadelphia Eagles

There is not much here that has not been said before. The Eagles fan base is one word, terrible. From their legendary assault on Santa Claus to cheering when Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver Michael Irvin was taken off the field with what turned out to be a career ending injury, the Eagles fan base is about as bad as it gets.

2. The Miami Heat

Even during the multi-year period in which King James took his talents to South Beach, the Miami Heat fans left much to be desired. From failing to sell out games despite the Kings’ presence to consistently showing up in the middle of the first quarter, or later, the Heat fans ultimately proved themselves unworthy of LeBron’s greatness. All of the above does not even account for the bandwagon jumpers who quickly abandoned the team after LeBron returned to Cleveland.  When the franchise started they had one of the worst teams in NBA history.

3. The Jacksonville Jaguars

Questions abound regarding whether or not Jacksonville could or still can ultimately sustain an NFL team. 20 plus years into the franchises existence the answer would be appear to be a resounding NO. Things have gotten so bad in Jacksonville, that the franchise now plays a yearly home game in London. While the product on the field certainly has left a lot to be desired, in a market where there is little else, logic would still dictate that the Jags would have a strong fan base, apparently not.  No surprise here, they will be one of the worst teams in 2016.

4. The Arizona Coyotes

Formerly the Phoenix Coyotes, but does it really matter? Hockey in the desert has had its issue from day one, and while one would assume there are some knowledgeable hockey fans in the Valley of the Sun, they are likely few and far between. While the arena is not centrally located, the Coyotes fan base still leaves a lot to be desired in all aspects of what being a fan really means.

5. The Sacramento Kings

Somehow the Kings are still in Sacramento, and shockingly they are getting a new arena. While this is all fine and dandy, the Kings fan base has been terrible for quite some time and left a fair amount to be desired even in the days of Vlade Divac, Chris Webber, and before them Mitch Richmond. The fans of the Kings make one really wonder why on earth the franchise ever moved from Kansas City in the first place.
